Lead Educator


Primary Purpose

The Lead Educator will serve as a classroom lead teacher a majority of the time and as an age group expert and teacher mentor for a portion of time (average is 80/20). The Lead Educator will be expected to role-model all expected practices to a high level, including curriculum implementation, child assessment, environments and design, positive relationships, joyful and inclusive classroom communities, partnerships and communication with families, behavior guidance, and instructional strategies. Importantly, Lead Educators will provide feedback on weekly plans, assessment progress, environments, and other expectations, plus support new initiatives. The Lead Educator will help build teacher competencies in designated age group and mentor new teachers.


Job Requirements – Education/Experience

Vocational or technical education CDA with education plan for AA degree - Required

Associate Degree Education or child development related AA degree preferred.

3 years of teacher in a high-quality program, preferably NAEYC accredited - Required


Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $22.50-$2745 per hour. The pay range listed here is what Bright Horizons in good faith anticipates offering for this job opening. Actual compensation offers within this range will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education and training, certifications, geography, and other relevant business or organizational factors.
